First attempt at Sushi in years…. Need more practice. It all tasted good though!
Challenges need to be beaten. Always try to improve and learn.
I made Shredded Mesquite Chicken Nachos last night.
With black beans, pickled jalapeños, monterey jack cheese, cheddar and mozzarella, sprinkled with green onions, guacamole and sour cream. Mmmmmm. I had some chicken left over so for lunch today, I whipped us up some Chipotle Chicken Salad Bowls! The mesquite in the chicken was masked by the chipotle so no worries there. They were delicious and nothing was wasted. Especially those nachos last night. The boys ate them up rather fast.

International Coffee Day (also known as Coffee Day or National Coffee Day) is an annual event observed on September 29 in a handful of countries for the celebration and enjoyment of the popular beverage coffee. This day is also used to promote fair trade coffee and to raise awareness for the plight of the coffee growers. On this day, many businesses around the world offer free or discounted cups of coffee. Some businesses share coupons and special deals with their loyal followers via social networking. Some greeting card companies sell National Coffee Day greeting cards, as well as free e-cards to help celebrate the occasion.
I certainly don’t get my coffee for free at any time, however, with the wind and rain swirling outside my door… I am completely content on my sofa, with my book and a good cup of Canterbury Coffee. Thank you very much!
Then it’s back to work and renos 🙂
Well it’s been 1 year and just about 4 months since I created my little nook on the interweb. A little place to share my thoughts, celebrations, renos and of course FOOD. Today we reached 4000 views and within just a few minutes it jumped to 4017 after posting the House Reno Teaser!
I love you guys!
Thanks for following
Something oh so artsy, fancy and definitely expensive is getting installed today. Oh baby it’s been a while. You were filthy but I polished your chrome till you twinkled! Hubby did an outstanding job, hardest most awkward job, and I’m oh so proud of him. Flawless job boy. There will be pics but for now here’s a little House Reno Teaser 😜
Hello and good morning to all my super fabulous readers. I hope you slept like a lead pipe? I would say ‘like a baby’ but that expression makes no sense to me…. how many moms out there complain about lack of sleep? See, now a pipe just lays there, out cold LOL. I, on the other hand, slept more like a baby, up a few times. Once at 2:30am trying to figure out why my creepy neighbours have every single light on inside and outside of their house… Strange.
Time for my second cup of coffee for the morning. My favorite coffee Canterbury Coffee!
